This is my FAVORITE product to gently and effectively cleanse my face and it smells incredible! I only need to use a pea-size amount to remove dirt and makeup (including mascara) and my skin has never felt cleaner…no joke! What’s really neat about the Orange Blossom Facial Wash is that it’s a soap-free facial wash that cleanses the skin withoutstripping it of natural oils. In addition to containing the highest antioxidant wolfberry seed oil, it contains MSM for softening and Lavender essential oil to soothe skin. Pure heaven and all natural!
Simply lather the wash gently over your face and neck with warm water and rinse thoroughly. Easy peasy! I prefer to use this wash daily with a facial brush and I love the results I get.
Ingredients: Deionized water, methylsulfonymethane (MSM), Ningxia wolfberry (lycium barbarum) seed oil, lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)†, patchouli (Pogostemon cablin)†, lemon (Citrus limon)†, rosemary verbenon (Rosmarinus officinalis CT verbenon)†, decyl polyglucose, mixed fruit acid complex, hydrolyzed wheat protein, citric acid, calendula extract, chamomile extract, rosebud extract, orange blossom extract, St. John's wort extract, algae, aloe vera gel, kelp extract, Ginkgo biloba extract, grape seed extract, and dimethyl lauramine oleate.
Awhile back I attended a local facials class some fellow oilers were having and got to try some great skin care products by YL. My skin is on the sensitive side and I am pretty careful about what I put on my face. I wasn't sure anything was going to work well with my skin but I was curious and on the hunt for some new products. When it was time to try the Mint Satin Facial Scrub, I was hesitant to use a scrub on my face but let me tell you, this is a gentle, nicely textured exfoliant! My face felt loved, pampered, clean and refreshed! You only need about a nickel-size dollop and you are good to go!
Satin Facial Scrub™, Mint, is a water-based exfoliant. It contains jojoba oil, mango butter, MSM, aloe, and Peppermint essential oil to minimize the appearance of pores and invigorate dull skin.

Manuka! Ma-Noo-ka! :) Heal your skin and get ready to GLOW! Manuka essential oil comes from the chopped leaves and small stems of the Leptospermum scoparium tree. Unsurprisingly, this is also where Manuka honey comes from- this has been used since ancient times to treat multiple conditions. It wasn't until the late 19th century that researchers discovered that honey has natural antibacterial qualities. I'm a nurse at Rady Children's in San Diego and we actually use high-quality manuka honey in dressings to promote wound healing!
This oil is similar to Tea Tree but in a warmer, richer way. With it's natural germ fighting properties, Manuka essential oil is exceptional for healing skin and preventing breakouts. I have very sensitive, acne prone skin and this is my #1 go to oil to soothe my red face and prevent and and heal acne!
Manuka has powerful properties but is mild in nature; it does not require dilution, however, you may find it useful to add a few drops to jojoba oil or to your other skin care products and moisturizers to maintain a healthy, clear complexion.
Other Skins Uses: wound healing, mild sunburn relief, itch relief, dandruff, body odor, cold sores, athletes foot
Bonus! The aroma of Manuka may be beneficial for those who suffer from stress or nervous energy. Look good AND feel good! :)
Boswellia Wrinkle Cream! This nourishing cream contains pure essential oils like Frankincense, Sandalwood, Geranium, Myrrh and Ylang Ylang along with Wolfberry Seed Oil, Linoleic Acid, Aloe Vera and Grapseed Extract. These ingredients work together to moisturize the skin, minimize shine, reduce the appearance of fine lines, support collagen production and enhance your natural beauty. After cleansing skin, apply gently over face and neck with upward strokes.
Boswellia, the main constituent within Frankincense, is a powerful anti-inflammatory. It is excellent for wrinkle reduction but is also recognized for it's overall skin restoring properties:
-Wrinkle Prevention: In a 2010 study, 15 women with sun-damaged skin treated their faces for 30 days with a boswellia cream. Their skin showed a significant improvement in appearance, including improvement in the appearance of wrinkles and more skin elasticity.
-Toning: Boswellia naturally constricts pores, helping skin to appear smoother and softer.
-Taming Redness: If you’re someone who suffers from redness in your skin, boswellia may help clear up some of this redness and give you a more even skin tone.
-Wound Healing: If you suffer from acne, boswellia can help clear blemishes and encourage faster healing. Boswellia also has a reputation for reducing the likelihood of scarring. This is my personal favorite benefit of using Bowellia!
This product is a must have for your first aid kit and skin care regimen. Rose Ointment is a deeply soothing and nourishing blend for dry or even cracked skin. The Tea Tree and Rose oils work together to rejuvenate rough irritated skin and protects and nourishes the skin by helping to maintain your skins natural pH balance.I purchased mine a year and a half ago and I still have more than half remaining. A little goes a long way!.
I have used this product for the following:
Chapped lips
A friends baby's Diaper Rash
Dry elbows
Dry skin under the nose from tissue use, or runny nose
My friend used it on her Stretch Marks
Crows feet (it plumps up the skin)
Minor cuts
Cracked heels
Essential oil application
To Use: Apply directly over other essential oils to lock in their benefits, or directly on the skin. Though it is not advised for burns initially, it is very beneficial to maintain, protect and keep the scab from the burn soft.
Melrose is a blend of oils with powerful cleansing properties; making it a great addition to your skin care routine. Melrose contains Melaleuca (Melaleuca alternifolia AKA Tea Tree or Mel-A) and Naouli (Melaleuca quinquenervia). In addition it has Rosemary (Rosmarius officinalis) and Clove (Syzygium aromaticum)All of these oils combined pack a cleansing punch and will help combat any skin challenge. It is also great for promotion of wound healing.
Young Living points out this oil would work great in conjunction with Rose ointment (see post #13) as both offer fabulous skin health support.
You can use Melrose topically, undiluted. I will mention that I have noted in some references dilution with appropriate carrier oil may be needed for those with very sensitive skin.
Note: This oil can also be diffused; has great odor-dispelling properties too!
Melrose Rocks!
BEAUTY SCHOOL POST #24
Last year, I saw a hair on my face and I went to brush it off and it was a wrinkle. A new wrinkle that wasn't there the day before. Now before oils, I would have just cried a little and done some online shopping. But instead, I ran to my EO's, and have felt so empowered ever since. I love this combo in a dropper bottle with some organic rose hip seed oil. I apply it to my face and neck at night after I've washed up. Then, I cup my hands over my nose and take in a few deep breaths of the blend left on my hands because I never miss an opportunity to use every bit of my oils. Mmmmmm….. smells absolutely divine. After, I love to just lay in bed and take in the scent as I enjoy some calming meditation, which always enables me to re-focus (in this case, on some much-needed pampering instead of my wrinkly pity party). Have you tried this yet or maybe another combo you'd like to share?
